Hershey Squares

Grandma Jackie always made these each year around christmas. I would go nuts for them as a kid.

Recipe

Cream together:

• 1/2 c butter
• 1 c sugar
• 4 eggs

Beat well and add to above:

• 16 oz Hershey's syrup
• 1 c flour
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp vanilla

Pour mixture into ungreased 9x13. Bake at 350° for 30 min.

Combine and beat well:

• 1/2 c margarine
• 2 c powdered sugar
• 2 tbls creme de menthe

Pour above mixture over cooked cake and refrigerate for 2 hrs or until set.

Melt and pour over 2nd layer, then refrigerate:

• (1) 6 oz pkg chocolate chips.
• 6 tbls margaine

Cut into 1" squares. Makes about 60 pieces.
