Recipe

Scald milk with next three ingredients. When mixture cools to 100-115° add yeast and mix. Add eggs and mix. Add flour until it can be turned onto a board and knead. Knead until smooth and elastic. Let rise until double. Divide into 8 parts.

Roll out into large rectangle to fit a large cookie sheet. Filling is spread out and then you roll up and seal edge w/ water.

(3 rolls per large cookie sheet.)

Bake at 375° 25-30 min.

This is the dough recipe for the sweet bread great grandma Gula made at the holidays. It is one of my dad's favorites.

Fillings

Add boiling water till spreadable.

Poppyseed

Combine and let boil covered 5-10 min. Careful: burns easily.

Cheese

Add raisins to cheese and let stand 1 hour. Mix in all ingredients and use.

Lekvar (prune)

Add sugar and cinnamon to taste.
